We have had our first day in our ministry site serving among the Roma. We went to church today and then went to our villages. We are working with children in several villages. At night we are doing a soup kitchen in one village and a ‘youth explosion’ in another.

What did you like most about the International World Changers project?
“The preparation and getting the opportunity to work with people form other churches.”
“Getting involved in the community and making a difference with work and community.”
“[Initially] I was not excited about being with other youth groups but experienced the true meaning of the body of Christ through it.”
“I liked it all, except for the cold showers.”
“Park Cleanup is a great ministry and a great way to reach people for Christ.”
“Meeting the people of Ecuador; sharing the love of Christ with these people; getting the opportunity to grow close to God through the whole experience.”
“Being able to work with people from different parts of the nation and stepping out of my comfort zone through meeting new and amazing people.”
“I loved being in crews with different people. I have made life-long friend. I also like partnering with local churches to help them in any way we could.”
What event or experience this week was most meaningful to you?
“A 13 year old girl accepted Christ as her Savior and immediately began to tell others.”
“See the children light up after accepting Christ.”
“There was a boy who could not use his legs but still got out there and blocked two shots as goalie and that simply floored me.”
“Seeing the gratitude on the people’s faces and realizing it was all God.”
“Partaking in the Lord’s Supper on another continent.”
“Meeting other believers and feeling an instant connection even though I didn’t speak their language.”
“Looking out over the city of Quito on the mountain and praying for the city.”
“After we played soccer we shared the soccer ball gospel presentation and people prayed to receive Christ.”
“Being able to see how God can work through us to tell them about Him. I haven’t really done this before, so I loved this experience.”
“Meeting Alex, my Ecuadorian sister in Christ, and hearing her story and praying for her. It was NOT a coincidence that we had both lived in Spain! It was God!
“Meeting my Brother Rigoberto, his testimony is very powerful and he has been blessed with the gift of evangelism. I pray for him to have more opportunities.”
“Picking up trash at the park made me realize how humble we are to be.”
“Each time someone asked Christ to come in there life, I smiled and knew that God was happy and angels in heaven were rejoicing.”
“The daily evangelism efforts as well as the nightly worship services were both very meaningful to me. Nightly worship gave me the chance to re-focus for the next day and grow my own spiritual life in preparation for sharing Christ with others.”
“Seeing a woman at the well experience of a little girl lead her community to Christ.”
“When Angelica a little girl at our site got saved and ran to tell more people.”
What spiritual commitments or decisions have you made this week?
“To be more aware of opportunities and to be a bolder witness. Also to focus on studying God’s Word.”
“My life will never be the same. I commit to love Christ beyond my own understanding. I commit not to be a controlled person without Christ. I commit to be faithful and get plugged in at Church.”
“Missions is really an important thing in our lives and to be completely open to where God can take me next.”
“I’m struggling with being called to missions.”
“To Love God above all else.”
“To love God even more, to know Him more, to follow Him more, to be willing to share Him more.”
“To fall more in love with God. I want to get to truly know him and trust him. I am going to stop just going through the motions and start acting.”
“That God has a place for me whenever He tells me I am ready.”
